Task 8 - The Amazing Race
With the final death of the night, the rain abruptly stopped and the water levels slowly died down to normal once again. The next morning, Head Gamemaker Elias’ voice woke the tributes from their individual rests.
“Good morning, tributes. As you can tell, none of you are in an alliance any longer. More people than expected died yesterday, but that is okay as we will just continue on with another twist! Take an hour to get yourselves dolled up and prepared but you are going on a race against each other. You are all in different places: Alice and Rivalta in the center of the arena, Declan near the Rialto Bridge, Barracuda near the basilica, and Azul in San Marco. The task at hand is to make your way back to La Fenice Theatre. Thanks to Alice, there are now stationary lamps set up all over. You will find that the theatre and transformed to fit our needs. There will be a stadium in place of the theatre’s stage. Handing above the stadium floor will be two golden keys. You must make it to the keys and be the first two to get them. Be warned, the last person to make it to the theatre will be killed immediately for being the slowest. With that being said, the two who do not make it to the stage first will not be killed, we have something special planned for the final four. Now, let’s place some ground rules for tributes like Barracuda:
-No setting traps for incoming tributes
-No trying to slow other tributes down
-And absolutely NO KILLING other tributes.
Save the bloodshed for the final four. One final thing that I have forgotten to mention. Use your attributes all you want because the moment you pass through the theatre doors, they will be deactivated for our own reasons. Good luck tributes, and may the fastest prove the most worthy of rewarding.”
Head Gamemaker Elias’ voice fades out and a timer has been placed in the sky reading 59:00 and counting backwards.
TASK 8
Prove how you are the fastest. Tell us how you get to the theatre being one of the first four. Declan, as your attribute is speed, we are not denying you the will to use it but you must be descriptive about it. Explain how you maneuver through the alleyways and such. That goes for all of you, Description is key. Make us want you to be the final four. Good luck tributes.
